EarthPulse is a Earth Observation program that aims to discover the factors of Earth’s synergistic functioning. To depict the Earth in synergy, I drew the Earth in alignment to the moon, and to the sun which peeks over the horizon of the moon. I was given the program’s purpose and left to interpret it. Everything here is my own creative vision.
Most graphics of planet Earth are inaccurate. To create a correct representation, I used NOAA’s Blue Marble Dataset which allowed me to rotate the Earth to a desired position.
I designed the logo to be versatile. An inverted triangle in the background was intentionally built to be removable, so the mark could be placed on shirts and software applications without any modification. The same logo works on both light and dark backgrounds unchanged — the portfolio shows it on white and on dark to demonstrate this directly.
